Untitled from Eddy van Mourik on Vimeo.

Rosalie Monod de Froideville and Eddy van Mourik, working together under the name “Buro Voor:” rowed several people from different walks of life to a small island in the “Berge Plas”, a lake in Rotterdam, and left them to their own devices. Escaped from the fast pace of the city it is up to them to decide what to do with this moment of “spare” time.
After several hours Rosalie and Eddy return and film the reports. Stories about loneliness and confrontation mesh together with observations of the cities developments and dutch culture.
The following people were brought to the island by Buro For:
Rosh Abdelfatah, filmmaker
Gretha Aerts, zen priest
Joe Cillen, artist
Piet Florusse, biologist
Leonhard van Geijn, filosopher
Toine Horvers, artist
